Book a tailored demo →Of the 5,338 tracked yachts that spent the majority of summer 2025 in the Mediterranean, 93.8 percent came back in 2026. Of the 235 that moved their summer base elsewhere, more chose Florida than any other region.
Measured share of global summer yacht-days, 2025 to 2026: the Western Mediterranean eased from 31.76 to 31.17 percent, the Eastern Mediterranean held at 20.45, and the Adriatic held near 5.1. Florida rose from 11.92 to 12.63 percent, the largest gain on the board. Northern Europe was the only major region whose measured days did not grow, essentially flat in a season when every other region expanded.
Measured yacht-days in Florida waters rose from 129,736 to 152,854, a gain of 18 percent, and the count of distinct yachts of 60 feet and up rose from 1,793 to 2,094, a gain of 17 percent. On the peak day of the season, 13 May 2026, Florida held 1,195 tracked yachts at once.
One in fourteen yachts well observed across the season, 665 of 9,166, never moved five nautical miles all summer. The season’s loudest number is movement; its most overlooked number is stillness.
