Cruising connections

Understand the routes connecting your destination.

Explore the ports and regions yachts visit before arriving and after departing. Identify recurring routes, seasonal connections and nearby destinations that form part of the same journey.

Use these patterns to inform regional partnerships, itinerary content and the timing of destination marketing.

A yacht’s route does not establish the nationality or residence of the people aboard.

“Where should we take a 45 m charter yacht in September?”
SAVED ANSWER · ENGINE: CLAUDE · COLLECTED 7 SEPTEMBER 2026

The answer names four regions. Your destination is not among them; two selected comparison destinations are.

RECORDED ACTIVITY · 1 JUN – 31 AUG 2026

418 unique visiting yachts, up from 396 in the same period last year.

Finding: recorded visits grew while the destination was absent from this monitored answer. A relationship to investigate, not an automatic judgment.

FAQ

Questions from destination teams

How does Traffik measure yacht visits to a destination?

Traffik reviews recorded yacht positions within defined geographic areas to identify arrivals and stays. Each analysis specifies the reporting period, yacht criteria and counting method, including whether a figure represents arrival events or unique visiting yachts.

Can we compare our destination with other locations?

Yes. You can compare recorded visits, length of stay and seasonal patterns across selected destinations. Equivalent periods, geographic definitions and tracking coverage should be considered alongside the results.

Can Traffik show where visiting yachts come from?

Traffik shows previous recorded ports and regions, as well as subsequent destinations where records are available. These reveal cruising connections; they do not establish the home location or nationality of the people aboard.

How can Traffik support event planning?

Traffik lets your team review yacht activity before, during and after events and compare equivalent periods across previous editions. Where available, Arrival Outlooks add forecast ranges for upcoming regional activity. Presence within an event area does not confirm attendance.

Can we assess yacht activity around a marketing campaign?

Yes. Your team can compare activity during a campaign with historical patterns and selected destinations, then review the findings alongside campaign analytics and visitor research. A change in yacht visits alone does not establish that the campaign caused it.

Can Traffik help improve our destination’s visibility in AI recommendations?

Traffik monitors how your destination appears in relevant AI answers and provides GEO recommendations to help improve your published information. Guidance can address content gaps, destination descriptions and page structure. Saved responses let your team follow changes in mentions and citations, although recommendation placement cannot be guaranteed.

Does yacht activity reveal visitor spending or economic impact?

Not by itself. Movement records show observed yacht activity, not guest numbers, spending or tourism revenue. They can contribute to a broader assessment when combined with appropriate visitor, business or economic data.

Can our team receive regular updates?

Yes. Supported activity alerts can be emailed automatically as matching events are detected or grouped into scheduled updates, such as a daily summary. Updates link to the supporting activity records so your team can investigate changes relevant to the destination.
