Questions about fleet monitoring
Which yachts can I monitor?
You can select yachts available within Traffik’s tracked fleet. The activity and historical detail available depend on the position records associated with each vessel.
Can I monitor locations we do not operate?
Yes. You can review recorded yacht activity at supported locations, including competing marinas and other destinations relevant to your business. These observations show arrivals, departures and stays; they do not confirm bookings or berth availability.
How current is the information?
Each observation carries a timestamp so you can assess its recency. Update frequency varies with available transmissions and data coverage. Your daily brief brings together changes recorded during its reporting period.
What does “first recorded visit” mean?
It means the yacht has not previously been observed visiting that location within the history used for the comparison. It does not necessarily mean the yacht has never visited before.
What happens when tracking information is missing?
Missing observations are identified as gaps in the record. A gap alone does not establish that a yacht remained in place or departed. Review the available positions and coverage when assessing the activity.
How do alerts work?
Choose the yachts, locations and supported activity types you want to monitor. When recorded activity matches your criteria, Traffik can email alerts automatically as events are detected or group them into scheduled updates, such as a daily summary. Each alert links to the supporting activity records.
