Bring cruising activity, visits and identity changes together to see how a yacht’s movements have developed over time.
Compare recorded time underway, destinations and yard visits across equivalent periods. Open a season or individual visit to inspect the supporting movement records.
The timeline identifies missing observations and distinguishes estimated stays, helping you understand which parts of the history are supported by the available data.

A vessel history brings together recorded cruising activity, port visits, observed or estimated yard stays and confirmed identity changes. Dates and tracking coverage help you assess the information available for each period.
Histories are available for yachts within Traffik’s tracked fleet where supporting records exist. The length and detail of a history vary by vessel, location and available coverage.
Traffik’s main position archive begins in 2022. Earlier histories for selected yachts operating in US waters may be available on request, extending back a decade or more. Each history identifies the period and coverage available for that vessel.
Yes. Recorded time underway and cruising patterns provide context for the periods covered. They do not establish engine hours or mechanical condition. Review the history alongside engine-hour records, maintenance documentation and survey findings.
No. Movement records can indicate a visit to a yard area and help assess its duration. They do not confirm haul-out, repairs, refit work or completion of a survey. Those details require supporting documentation.
Confirmed name and flag changes can be linked to the same yacht, allowing its earlier activity to remain part of the history. The record identifies when the change was observed; that date may differ from the official effective date.
It means observations are unavailable for part of the review period. A gap alone does not establish where the yacht was or whether it was inactive. Where a stay is estimated across a gap, the history identifies that estimate.
Yes. You can review recorded activity across the available history. Compare equivalent periods and consider tracking coverage, particularly when a year is incomplete or contains significant gaps.
