Among 481 yachts tracked in both summers, 115 shifted their season westward against 73 that shifted east.

What changed

Each yacht’s mean fence longitude was compared across identical summer windows in 2025 and 2026, counting a shift only beyond two degrees. Excluding the eastern Mediterranean, the region our receivers reached latest, widens the margin to 94 against 54 rather than narrowing it, which argues the westward pattern is not a coverage artefact.

Why it matters commercially

Charter teams and destinations planning next season can weigh the direction of drift when positioning fleets and marketing budgets.
