The Traffik MCP server.

Technical reference for connecting an AI agent to Traffik's free public intelligence tier over the Model Context Protocol.

Endpoint and transport

Endpoint: https://traffik.ai/mcp

Transport: MCP streamable HTTP. Stateless JSON-RPC 2.0 over POST; responses are served as server-sent events. An Accept header listing both application/json and text/event-stream is recommended per the MCP spec, but the endpoint tolerates any Accept header (or none). No session is required; each call is independent.

Authentication: none. The endpoint is public, read-only and free.

Fair use: per-client rate limiting applies (bursts of conversational use pass freely; sustained automated crawling is throttled with HTTP 429).

Example

curl -s -X POST https://traffik.ai/mcp -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Accept: application/json, text/event-stream" -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/list"}'

Tools

Parameters: place (required) — Destination name, e.g. 'Porto Cervo', 'Newport', 'the Hamptons'

Data and honesty

Every answer is generated at ask-time from Traffik's live measured record: public safety broadcasts inside individually reviewed geofences. Counts are floors, not estimates; a vessel that does not broadcast, or water that is not fenced, is not counted, and answers say so. The server returns no personal information and identifies no individuals. Methodology: traffik.ai/methodology.

Scope

This endpoint carries Traffik's free public tier only. Client capabilities — named-yacht monitoring, arrival outlooks, exposure screening, activation tools — are served from the authenticated platform and are not reachable here.

Support

hello@traffik.ai — a person answers, usually the same day. See support.
